Weaving Wholeness | Romana Sheikh
1 hr 30 min
About The Workshop
What becomes possible when we see education as a practice of Love and Justice? To orient to this paradigm, our work as educators is to examine what must be deconstructed and what must be reconstructed so that power shifts, knowledge expands and relationships heal. In this session, we will engage in embodied listening and relational inquiry to unpack the constructs of schooling and their contextual relevance for our children today.
About The Facilitator
A global education leader and presence-oriented facilitator, Romana integrates the science of trauma with the wisdom of wholeness. Her experience spans across fields of mental health, education, peacebuilding, social entrepreneurship and leadership.
Her first book 'Weaving Wholeness' integrates a nuanced understanding of the human body-mind, trauma, power relations and systemic oppression as it plays out in the lives of children growing up in poverty and marginalization
