Join this session to play with questions, without answers, get introduced to the field of philosophy with children, learn about the pedagogy as well as the process behind it.
About The Facilitator
Rhea Kuthoore is advancing the movement of engaging in philosophy with children in the country through her initiative childrendoingphilosophy.org. Professionally, she graduated with an MA in Childhood Studies from Rutgers University and a BA in Philosophy from Ashoka University. She is currently building up a centre for children's philosophies in Chennai while curating a 10 day exhibit in Chennai in June on 'questions without answers; an open exploration through stories' in collaboration with Goethe Institute.
Jigar Bhalani is currently a STEM Lead at Aavishkaar. He is passionate about creating exploratory learning environments and respecting children's voices. After a Master's in Sustainability and Environment, Jigar rediscovered the purpose of education at Sholai CLOAAT - a J. Krishnamurti-inspired school. He taught Math, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering, co-assisted classes on Global Perspectives, Philosophy with Children and farming for eight years. An open-ended inquiry and dialogue have shaped his teaching practice in the classroom.
